Mom had to go back to Atlanta - the Georgia General Assembly was in Session - Jack and I were very sad to see Mom go. We went to the mall for a while after we dropped Mom off at the airport. Then, we ordered a steak from room service and watched more of the Olympics.
The next morning Jack and I drove to the airport to pick up Grandma Rosemary Breedlove. Boy was she glad to see Jack - and I was glad to see her.
We went to Wal Mart and Grandma got Jack two toys including a John Deere tractor. Next we went to Detroit. We went to Reniansance Center - home of General Motors. Jack was getting grumpy - this is important to the story. I thought it was because Mom departed and he was not sure about this Grandma person. Jack would not eat any of the McDonald's we got him for lunch.
We then took a ride on the Detroit People Mover. I thought Jack would be real excited to ride the "train" - he was not.
This is where it was not only good but important to have Grandma. She realized that Jack was not just upset - Jack was getting sick. Joy.
We cut short the tourist activity in Detroit and headed back towards the hotel. We stoped at a drug store and got a few things. We tried dinner at an Olive garden and a quick stop at a Target. By this time, Jack was really sick.
It is really a good thing Grandma was there! She took great care of Jack and got him, fever and all, into bed. I watched more of the Olympics.
We took Jack to the doctor at the University of Michigan. We stayed at the hotel all day. We are all pretty bored. We were all waiting on news from the lawyer that we could go home. Jack is pretty sick.
Kat is in Atlanta getting the house ready for Jack - doing great work and hard work. Jack really missed his Mom.
