Tampa Bay

On May 4, 2006 Jack made his first trip to Florida.

We departed Atlanta very early, pointed the Explorer south and started driving. We connected with Jack's Grandma and Grandpa Breedlove in Perry, Georgia for lunch. We had a regular convoy on I-75 through south Georgia into Florida and the greater Tampa - St. Pete area.

We went to The Pier in St. Petersburg prior to the game. Jack saw a real devil ray and dolphin in the bay. That was cool. We had Italian ice and did some shopping.

We then went to Tropicana Field to watch the Tampa Bay Devil Rays play the New York Yankees. Jack is already checking off MLB stadiums! The Yankees defeated Tampa Bay 10 to 5. I was so excited to introduce Jack to a road trip baseball game - like the song says - I did not care if we would ever get back - where else could I possibly want to be?
